Enterprise Info Engineer, Principal

Basic Function

The Enterprise Information Management Engineer, Principal will work within a team of experienced technical professionals to design and develop solutions to complex Content Management applications such as  Documentum, D2, Content Suite and Core for Capital Projects. The position reports to the Manager of Enterprise Information Management (EIM). 

The Enterprise Information Management Engineer, Principal must be a problem solver who advocates for their clients and ultimately, acts as the single point of contact for incident management, new service requests and implementations. This individual will be responsible for the design, development and execution of product implementations within the EIM application portfolio space.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop solutions in Documentum, D2, Content Suite and other ECM applications.
  • Install, configure and support Documentum, D2, Content Server, Webtop, xPlore, Adlib, AutoVue, Brava, etc.
  • Create scripts to help with automating tasks associated with EIM applications.
  • Design, code and implement Documentum Webtop and WDK customizations.
  • Analyze and collaborate with the business to develop a standard data model (taxonomy, attribution).
  • Migrate data from legacy ECMs to D2.
  • Provide customer-oriented support and troubleshooting for applications within the EIM space.
  • Develop product documentation, technical/architectural designs, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Proficient at management of incidents, problems and changes through company’s IT Service Management Platform (ServiceNow).
  • Coordinate with other technical teams required to assist with the implementation (i.e. DBAs, Security, Software Packaging etc.)
  • Perform EIM application administration, monitoring and verification tasks.
  • Define, maintain and implement long-term technology roadmaps that reflect IT’s strategic direction.
  • Maintain product knowledge base and conduct training sessions for the after-hours support staff.
  • Test existing and new EIM applications and Records Management functionality.
  • Provide oral and written report to technical and project management.
  • Create project documentation.

Min. Qualifications

  • Show an understanding of Enterprise Information Management processes.
  • Experience developing custom scripts using DFC, DFS, DQL and Rest API.
  • Programming experience in Java and WDK.
  • Experience developing custom workflows, custom modules, methods, jobs, TBOs and SBOs.
  • Experience with MS technologies such as Windows Server and MS SQL.
  • Multiple domain experience with increasing levels of leadership responsibility in systems analysis, defining technical requirements, and performing high level design for complex solutions.
  • Experience in roles with high level of client or end-user engagement.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to contribute and review architectures and designs.
  • Value Oriented, understands technology is a tool with overriding goal of business success.
  • Partners closely with business partners to analyze new projects and readiness for governance decisions and provides transparency of portfolio investments.
  • Communicate and defend IT policies and standards and understand how IT services benefit the business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field of study.
  • Programming experience in .Net.
  • Has functional development and technical support experience with OpenText products, Records Management, Azure or other Cloud Computing solutions.
  • Experience in migrating data from other ECM systems to D2
  • Experience with Monitoring and Testing Tools such as SCOM and LoadRunner.
  • Experience with building PowerBI Reports.
  • Experience in the Petrochemical Industry with strong business acumen preferred.
  • Experience with agile and product management processes.
