Basic Function

The Enabling Technology Manager will play a critical role in transforming HR Operations by identifying, sourcing, implementing and supporting the necessary technology solutions. The primary focus of the role will be supporting the HR Operations Center, by ensuring that it has the necessary technology tools and applications to streamline HR processes, improve efficiency, and enhance employee experiences.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy Development: Collaborate with HR Operations and IT teams to develop and execute a technology strategy to stand up the HR Operations function, with specific emphasis on Document Management, Knowledge Management, Case Management, and an Employee Portal.
  • Application Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select technology applications and platforms that align with the goals of HR Operations. This includes vendor research, functional requirements documentation, and working with Procurement to drive the RFP process to ultimately select the optimal technologies.
  • Implementation Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation of selected HR technology solutions. Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and HR Operations to ensure successful integration and adoption.
  • Testing: Designing and leading UAT testing with HR Operations.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies specific to each application or software to facilitate the adoption of these new technology solutions among LYB employees and leaders, and HR Operations staff.
  • User Training: Coordinate and provide training to HR Operations employees on the use of new technology tools and applications. Creation and publication of reference guides and communications for broader LYB audience.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all HR technology solutions adhere to data security and compliance standards, including GDPR and other relevant regulations.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with HR technology vendors, managing service level agreements and ongoing support for new tools and applications.
  • Reporting:  Maximize native reporting capabilities within supporting systems and coordinate on the development of dashboard reports
  • Business Requirements:  Understand business needs/requirements and transform them into usable system/technology requirements.
  • Process Improvement:  Help lead process improvement efforts by providing subject matter expertise on how enabling technologies can best be leveraged to automate and improve processes.
  • Technology Consultant:  Keep current on emerging technologies such as AI, robotic process automation, machine learning, and other advanced technologies and identify opportunities for future use of these technologies.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in technology management, with a focus on sourcing and implementing applications.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and embrace innovation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HR systems and processes
  • Experience implementing or using an Integrated HR Service Management Solutions or Employee Digital Workspace
  • Working knowledge of Human Capital Systems (HCM)
  • Working knowledge of SAP
