Basic Function

  • Supports development of technology strategy for the Global Procurement function and across functions that enables value creation, deepens stakeholder collaboration, automates low/no value-add work, and transforms the end-user experience.
  • Focal point for connecting technology solutions to business opportunities through deep domain expertise and obtaining support from end users.
  • Stewards initiation of concept and funding request through stage gate process, oversees change management for technology application implementation through proofs of concept informed by industry leading outside-in points of view.
  • Aligns and coordinates with IT, Digital, Cyber (IDC) project execution resources and Procurement Leadership to implement, measure adoption, and confirm business case achievement. 
  • Markets technology concepts and outcomes to garner support with Procurement Leadership and IDC staff to scale applications as relevant globally to maximize return on investment and standardize to full extent viable.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Displays high proficiency in Enterprise system applications, with an ability to lead or facilitate incorporating design artefacts in project Stage 
  • Gate charters and business cases.
  • Applies analytical tools to anticipate and solve problems. 
  • Analyzes complex data, identifies anomalies and provides information in a user friendly format.
  • Provides training and guidance to Procurement staff regarding data analytics.
  • Leads various process design activities within Procurement to improve operational efficiency and lower cost of operations (inclusive of  designing solutions aligned with procurement roadmap and ensuring integration with other projects, systems and processes).
  • Manages training and change management activities to achieve organizational readiness for the P2P process and technology changes.
  • Supports CPO and Procurement Leadership in budgeting, strategic planning, enterprise risk assessments and other annual planning activities as needed.
  • Responsible for the coordination of Stage Gate charter and business case of digital projects, collaborating with internal and external partners as needed.
  • Provides expertise regarding functional design and technical specifications, working with SAP and non-SAP programing teams to design and implement identified system enhancements and customizations.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members.
  • May partner with cross-functional teams in complex programs or initiatives.

Min. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (or recognized equivalent); Master’s degree preferred (or recognized equivalent).
  • 10+ years related experience required. 
  • 6+ years of chemical or related industry experience is desirable.
  • Experience defining KPI's and metrics
  • Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change management strategies and techniques within chemical industry.
  • Demonstrated program management experience successfully implementing procurement processes across business units and geographies.
