- Acts as fully dedicated individual contributor to small self-organized team of 3-5 members working on solving challenges and improving marketing capabilities related to LyondellBasell (LYB), as part of LYB’s Customer and Commercial Excellence (CCE) effort.
- Provides deep functional expertise required to deliver satisfactory Marketing Excellence, while maintaining broad interest in and knowledge of other functional areas.
- Delivers outputs iteratively and incrementally, in the form of working protypes, in advance of eventual hand-off.
- Collaborates with a CCE lead to develop and prioritize product backlog prior to selection of new projects; determines scope and effort required.
- Makes decisions, as part of self-managing team; identifies impediments and escalates to the CCE Team Lead where appropriate.
A Day In The Life:
- Live Customer Centricity in the daily job, spreading that mindset within the organization.
- Leads and participate in projects to transform the LBY Customer and Commercial capabilities, focusing on Marketing Excellence. Works closely with the CCE Team Lead to understand to maintain healthy project execution and backlog.
- Autonomously works and represents CCE with the regional leadership and functions. Builds solutions to address Net Promoter Score (NPS) feedback aiming to improve customer satisfaction.
- Takes shared ownership of the Global initiatives by being the implementation lead and driver in the regions.
- Builds working prototypes with an incremental approach based on growing learnings and testing with the marketing function, consumers / customers.
- Showcases prototype to CCE leadership team and stakeholders during Reviews.
- Runs new methods/practices for developing solutions, (e.g., trial and error, co-creation with marketing/consumers, pilots for testing).
- Coordinates with line manager to handover daily activity.
- Collaborates with Value Enhancement Program (VEP) Delivery Lead adding now projects into VEP.
You Bring this Value:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Preferred: Advanced degree relevant to the role.
Work Experience:
- Strong track record of coordinating deliverables across multiple teams and functions.
- Background can vary significantly based on team focus, but good expertise within projects (e.g., marketing, sales, financial planning, manufacturing, etc.).
- Typically 10+ years of commercial and/or project experience, gained in Marketing, Sales and/or Finance in the Petrochemical Industry with increased responsibilities and scope.
Preferred:
- Experience or familiarity with Industry/Segment Marketing with end-market focus.
- Experience in Project Management methods (5+ years).
- Project Management certification a plus. Track record on being able to successfully work and guide senior leadership decision making.
