Supply Chain is a customer-focused Center of Excellence providing industry-leading service while delivering differential value to the business, today and into the future. We separate our Supply Chain functions into several areas; these include logistics, customer fulfillment, services, trade compliance, and support for business processes and systems.
As a member of our dynamic Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in helping us supply our products to a global customer base. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting one or more strategic facets within the Supply Chain Services organization, providing direction and leadership to high priority Supply Chain projects. During a typical day, you will primarily interact with mid to upper-level management within Supply Chain to build value cases and lead execution for strategic initiatives.
This position reports to the Supply Chain Services Manager and is located at our North American Headquarters in Downtown Houston. The position offers a competitive base salary, bonus, 401K matching, generous benefits package, pension plan, parking subsidy and employee discounts.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Due to the Green Belt certification requirement, this role is a minimum of two years and with at least 8-months in role post-certification and project completion.
- Become subject matter expert in how the Supply Chain organization leverages the data-related tools (EDMs, Data Catalog, Report Catalog). Act as the liaison contact between the Data Enablement team and the Supply Chain.
- Become subject matter expert in PowerBI’s foundational setup structure and how to use. Support mentorship of the greater Supply Chain teams relating to PowerBI.
- Complete and pass online certification to obtain Greenbelt certification. In addition to online test, complete a project to demonstrate understanding of the DMAIC process. Expert understanding and usage of lean concepts, the DMAIC improvement process, and six-sigma methodology.
- Drive alignment and standardization of data utilization through process and data streamlining projects. Perform cost-benefit analysis on potential solutions, provide Business Justification, present results to Supply Chain Leadership
- Lead projects to support the transition of Supply Chain’s data utilization to Data Enablement tools. Lead current-state process mapping, data-need gap identification, and to-be process & data visualization design.
- Support PTAI benchmarking data collection and assessment related activities. Support in additional business and LYB related reviews.
- Serve a team lead by teaching and growing capabilities within the team. Provide guidance and support to the Business Analyst.
- Act as a main point of contact for Supply Chain leadership and business counterparts regarding Business Analytics initiatives and/or other cross-departmental initiatives that require Supply Chain’s input
- Function as an expert for analytical processes and strategies that span across all supported businesses.
- Operate with a solution-oriented mindset regarding process improvements. Lead change implementation for extended system improvements or other Supply Chain Services project.

Min. Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years’ relevant, industry related experience.
- Must possess excellent communication, organization, and facilitation skills with a focus on results, customer service and change management.
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, with a high degree of confidentiality.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required. Will consider candidates with a High School Diploma that have at least 10 years’ relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will be an advanced user in Excel; Advanced skills in BI preferred but not required.
- Able to maintain professionalism and prioritize responsibilities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstratable knowledge in Project Management.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills centered on innovation and problem solving are key for this role.
- Comfortable manipulating and analyzing data, as well as making recommendations and decisions based on data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with extended tools.
- Experience with ERP software such as SAP is strongly desired.
