Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to develop and implement market, product and pricing strategies to create segment value, increase differentiation versus commodity segments, and capture maximum profitability from the Advanced Polymers Solutions (APS) market segments.  This position is located in downtown Houston, TX.

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop and implement annual business plans consistent with the organizations goals

Direct Asset teams to coordinate business, ADTS and production functions in support of business strategies

Lead the development and implementation of business strategies for key market segments

Develop and implement product pricing policies in support of overall business strategy

Direct cross functional support teams to assist in achieving business objectives

Support channel-to-market activities including sales teams, agents and distributors

Establish and administer annual gap closure initiatives

Optimize product portfolio and customer portfolio for identified business segments

Manage the customer contracting process

Coordinates with NBD and ADTS in assessing product & application development opportunities

Gathers and disseminates key market and competitive intelligence

All other duties not specifically assigned.

Min. Qualifications


Required:  Bachelor’s degree in scientific or technical field

Preferred:  Master’s degree in business


Work Experience:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a Technical, Sales/Marketing or Supply Chain role.

Willingness to travel 25% of time to visit customers, distributors, etc.

Cross-functional experience preferred (i.e. commercial, technical, finance, manufacturing)

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel), Salesforce, and SAP (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with specialty powders - custom powders, tolling, and rotational molding.
