POSITION SUMMARY
This role is a full-time opportunity for a recent graduate to contribute to an evolving commercial organization connecting commercial insight, market intelligence, supply-chain capabilities, trading support, and analytics to create business value. The graduate will complete meaningful assignments based on business need and may support commercial strategy, operations & scheduling, market and value-chain analysis, analytics, or trading-related activities.
Our mission in IST&O is to build an organization that strengthens LYB enterprise performance by aligning market risk management, asset flexibility, and commercial decisions within a governance and compliance framework in partnership with Middle and Back Office teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
General

- Analyze market, commercial, supply & logistics, and financial information to identify opportunities and support decisions.
- Develop reports, dashboards, business analyses, models, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Evaluate business scenarios and provide clear, data-supported recommendations.
- Partner across trading, commercial scheduling & operations, analytics, market analysis, and trading-related teams.
- Support initiatives that improve business performance, process effectiveness, and value creation.
- Communicate findings to project teams, business stakeholders, and leaders.
- Demonstrate safe, ethical, and responsible conduct in all activities.

- Apply intellectual curiosity and business acumen to understand how integrated commercial, supply & operations, market, trading-support, and analytical activities create value.
- Use analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex or evolving business situations and identify practical solutions.

- Use data and technology to evaluate opportunities, communicate insights, and improve business performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
-
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Engineering, Finance or other related disciplines. Some degrees may include: Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or another related business or analytical discipline.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Note: Open to other degrees as keen to identify strong critical thinkers, curious minds, and agile learners.
Work Experience:

- Demonstrated relevant experience through an internship, research assignment, substantial academic or business project, or role that required applying analytical and problem-solving skills in a business environment is preferred.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Curiosity, learning agility, and comfort working with ambiguity.
- Effective communication, collaboration, organization, and time management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, SAP or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Interest in commercial, trading-related, supply, logistics, and commercial operations, market, and data-driven business environments.
