The purpose of the job is to manage the Givet facility according to the Company´s Strategy and Corporate targets to ensure it operates in a safe, sustainable and efficient manner in compliance with all applicable Lyondellbasell policies and standards, and local legal requirements. This includes meeting company requirements for HSE, serving and supporting customers on all required levels, promoting employee engagement, maintaining a positive public image and operating the plant´s assets in an efficient and reliable manner. This is achieved through leadership and overall management of all site activities.

Basic Function

This is achieved through leadership and overall management of all site activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Establish and manage a site culture and organization in which employee health, employee safety, process safety, environmental stewardship and operational excellence as well as cost efficiency are the top priorities in order to achieve a lean and high performing organization. This is measured by engagement surveys, staff turn-over, absenteeism rate, safety records as well as production KPIs.
- Develop constructive relationships with Employees representatives.
- Show overall Leadership responsibility for HSE management, manufacturing operations, quality improvement, cost efficiency, productivity improvements as well as process improvements, equipment and automation development for positive growth and profitability. To achieve a high productivity in a cost efficient and safe manner. Measure: Safety Records, Production volume, Reliability rates, Benchmarks, Cost Actuals vs. Budget.
- Manage the operational aspects of the site in compliance with corporate needs, local laws and regulation, applicable quality standards and responsible care for the safety of employees, contractors and community as well as for product safety in order.to avoid any compliance or safety risks. Measure: Regular safety trainings held, regular Audits who assess compliance and safety, safety walks.
- Create and foster commitment to allow the highest degree of integration of team members and develop individual capabilities through performance assessment and tutoring activities. Manage and train department managers and all employees, evaluate, motivate and upgrade talent as required. Motivate people. Measure: Regular assessments and feedback for the exempt in place and monitored, staff and succession plans, individual development plans in place.
- Control overall business working capital (stocks etc.) within agreed budget. Implement management controls to ensure fiscal responsibility and a healthy financial structure; Establish a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) for all activities, assuring adequate follow-up.
- Direct the preparation of business plan, annual budgets and operating plans and further monitor operating budgets and take corrective actions to address budget deviations.
- Guide the Site in generating value for the company while consistently working towards enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Build up a strong business acumen in the local team by enriching the relationship with the Business partners (Asset Manager, Business Manager, Product Manager, Sales team, Technical Support Team, New Business Development/PAD Team and Centralized Planning Team) maintaining regular talks with the Business incumbents and by mentoring with emphasis on staff the proper business acumen.
- Develop, implement and promote continuous improvement and automation initiatives congruent with the business priorities by using benchmark references. To improve site performance according to the business priorities and reduce ergonomic risks for operating staff.
- To fulfil and ensure the fulfilment of the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OCS management systems.
- Coordinating customer complaints with relevant team members.
- Communicate with French Administration if need (DREAL, DREETS etc.) with support of Group.
Minimum Qualifications
- Engineering or Science degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing in organization.
- Languages Fluent in English & French.
