Account Manager Commodities (f/m/d)

 

The role is an individual contributor position and has the purpose to represent the company and business strategies, develop the sales growth at the customer, increase total value creation, manage the order-to-cash process and improve customer satisfaction of LyondellBasell’s commodity polyolefin products at customers within a specific region in line with the defined business strategy.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • Drives for results and achieves sales and pricing objectives at the customers in terms of contribution margin, volume, customer share, cost management and working capital.
  • Engages in customer visits to identify and analyze customer needs and develops solutions.
  • Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders and builds an effective network. Key stakeholders include: Customers and internal interfaces such as business management, marketing, sales, quality, technical service, supply chain, customer service, credit, tax, legal and financial services.
  • Develops and implements Account Plans including account profile, SWOT analysis, goals and objectives, innovation plan, resource plan, KPI’s, etc.
  • Respects all policies and procedures and proactively “lives” them.
  • Monitors and helps in timely closing of customer claims.
  • Identifies and develops new customers.
  • Introduces new products in conjunction with Marketing and ADTS at new and existing customers.
  • Provides regular up-dates on market intelligence, e.g. trends and competitor’s behavior.
  • Ensures a consistent and effective execution of the business strategy at accounts and makes recommendations on potential improvements.
  • Drives operational excellence in S&OP (forecasting) and Pricing Management.
  • Drives the use of SalesForce through up to date Account Plans, Log a Call and Opportunities.
  • Effectively troubleshoots customer issues and queries.

 

Min. Qualifications

  • University or college degree in Business Administration minimum bachelor preferably MBA or master degree in sciences or engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Polymers, Sales, Marketing, ADTS, Customer Service.
  • Basic IT skills: Microsoft Outlook, Office Word / Excel / PowerPoint, SAP R/3 and SalesForce.
  • English and at least one other language of the main country under the responsibility.
  • Skills in Negotiating as well as Presentation and Communication skills.
