Basic Function

The purpose of the role “Ferrara Site Waste Management Coordinator” is to ensure the application of National Laws (Law 152/2006) and Company Standards regarding Environmental Management on waste management. 
The main target of this position is to ensure operational compliance to applicable laws and standards for site waste management and to develop an internal organization capable to safely and properly handle operational tasks related with waste collection, storage, classification and disposal.
The incumbent will also act as back-up of the waste operation supervisor (also reporting to the Environmental Manager) and will directly coordinate the logistic support contractor firm that’s operating the ACR plant (Area Centralizzata Rifiuti). 
The Ferrara Site Waste Management Coordinator will closely collaborate with Legal and Procurement Departments in order to ensure:
-    High standards of legal compliancy of the waste management process and maintain it in case of any changes of Laws or Standards;
-    Continuous improvement of the process so to maintain high level of effectiveness and efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities in line with legal compliance  (DLGS 152/2006) and Corporate Operational Excellence standards for Waste management 
  • Site coordinator of involved parties in Waste Management: plants, ACR, procurement, engineering and maintenance 
  • Implementation, management and updating of internal operating procedures in Waste Management
  • Provide assistance and a specialist contribution to the Engineering, Process Development & Design and Technology Support functions in relation to Environmental technical issues
  • Conducting Pre Start-up Safety Review and Safety Tours concerning Environmental topics
  • Site Process Owner for Waste Management
  • SPI Environmental site data reviewer for INTELEX of the annual data introduction in the system  for waste 
  • Participate to corporate’s networks and charters 
  • Liaison with Company Legal team to assure company compliance to relevant environmental legislation
     

Min. Qualifications

Education:
•    Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent

Work Experience: 
•    Work experience of at least 7-10 years in environmental fields

Languages
•    Good knowledge of English language.

Preferred Qualifications

Licenses & Certifications:
•    Training courses: DPR 151/2011, D. Lgs. 105/2015, DM 3/8/2015, D.Lgs. 152/2006
•    Specific experience in environmental management (IPPC, ISO14001, waste management, etc.)
