Digital Specialist

Basic Function

Basic knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies. Basics of networking and major network protocols. Basic knowledge of computer security issues.
Knowledge of hardware and software applications, including:  TCP/IP and OPC, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, domain architecture and management, group policies, network topology and components, antivirus, SQL server and database management, Power Apps, Aspentech, PI Aveva, DeltaV, Prometheus suite, Intelatrac.
Theoretical knowledge of the most popular platforms in the BigData world, classical Machine Learning/Deep Learning algorithms; practical knowledge of Python libraries.

The candidate will:

• Based on requests received develop, build, test and maintain applications and related interfaces in collaboration with IT department developers. 
• Align data architecture with corporate security requirements in collaboration with IT/Cybersecurity department developers.
• Identify ways to improve the reliability, efficiency and quality of the data and applications used

Helps on managing the entire lifecycle of digital solution utilizing corporate/site procedure or engineering standards interacting with all relevant site department as well as company peers and vendors/suppliers as needed to resolve problems and improve plant reliability and performance.
Ensure that norms and Company guidelines are applied as appropriate.

Roles & Responsibilities

• On the instructions of the department manager and in cooperation with corporate digital transformation team, he/she defines the technical specification of digital improvement projects as well as implementation program.
• Coordinate activities and plans while respecting the operational needs plant during implementations. Provide assistance after installation.
• Systematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine digital project reporting costs to corporate cost controller.

Min. Qualifications

Education:

• High school  degree or equivalent  experience in digital automation/instrumentation 

Work Experience:

• 5+ years experience in managing digital network
• Proven previous experience (3+ years) in the specific role activities

Languages:

• Good written and oral english

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven engineering knowledge of instruments (Smart trasmitters, flowmeters, control valves, ..) and their field installation in a Chemical environment Atex classified.
• Proven engineering knowledge of Safety Logic Solvers (S-PLC) and Digital Control Systems (DCS)
• Familiarity with common plant documentation (e.g. PFD, P&ID)
