Chromatographic Technical Expert Coordinator

Basic Function

Coordinates the Analitycal Services (AS) Chromatographic area in order to ensure proper planning and execution of activities as well as timely monitoring of group performance. Act as Technical and Scientific focal point both for internal than external analytical issues for His/Her area of competence. Manage and carry out research or project work requiring analysis, interpretation, developing new methods and improvement of current standard operating procedures where applicable and as required

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving GoalZERO performance in occupational safety, process safety and environmental aspects implementing and maintaining the highest standards, results and certifications for HSEQ. Comply with corporate safety standards, policies and local regulations.
• Main Interface of the AS for His/Her area of competence. Manage and assist in the development, execution, validation and implementation of test methods or validation of improved techniques in a timely manner and within resources available and as per business need.
• Provide scientific/technical support to staff and clients in order to improve lab knowledge and the operational feasibility 
• Technical responsibility of operation and reporting of the Chromatographic instruments. Main responsible in guarantee calibration of test equipment and perform or organize routine performance check /maintenance as required.
• Manage all the activities of his/her area of competence in order to maintain and set quality systems for proficiency requirements. Collaborate with the Head of Analytical Services and Supervisors to implement and keep running and updated the QS. according with  ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 norms.
• Guarantee an active contribution with improvement ideas both for Manufacturing then R&D also proposing new apparatus and techniques
• High level reporting of technical results for both internal and external audience. Issue technical reports and submit contributions to conferences, meetings, or scientific literature

Min. Qualifications

Education:

•    University Degree in the Scientific area of competence (Chemistry), PhD is a plus

Work Experience:
•    A suitable experience (more than 10 years) and knowledge and experience in applied polymer science including a robust knowledge of the required analytical techniques.
•    Knowledge in correlation property/structure for LYB products is a plus

Languages: 

•    English fluent, both written and spoken; others languages welcome

Licenses & Certifications:

•    Training courses: ISO 9001; IATF 16949; FMEA process ; ISO 14001; UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 is a plus

•    Knowledge about quality management techniques, tools, methods (e.g project and process FMEA, Cp-Cpk, SPC, PROBLEM SOLVING)
•    Able to use most common software packages, as Microsoft Office, Windows, Minitab, SAP, LIMS
•    Knowledge about quality technical norms, rules and regulations related to Quality & HSE (e.g. series ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 is a plus, tech norms and guidelines from national and international bodies such as ISO, ASTM, Unichim, ACCREDIA, Eurachem, FDA, and similar)
