Basic Function

The Site Manager will oversee the strategic direction for the Evansville Northbrook Plant within the Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) segment in the USCAN Region. This role involves developing and executing strategies to achieve profitable growth, surpassing industry averages in both revenue and profit, thereby contributing to regional and divisional goals. 

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Planning
o    Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance plant performance and achieve organizational goals.
o    Analyze market trends and operational data to forecast future needs and opportunities.
o    Align plant objectives with overall company strategy to ensure cohesive progress.
Team Leadership
o    Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
o    Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.
o    Promote a safe and inclusive work environment, encouraging diversity and teamwork.

Operational Oversight
o    Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
o    Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
o    Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and resolve operational issues.

Project and Quality Governance
o    Manage plant projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements. 
o    Establish and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of production.
o    Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Financial Management
o    Develop and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
o    Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
o    Prepare financial reports and forecasts  to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Compliance and Governance
o    Ensure the plant complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
o    Implement and maintain governance frameworks to manage risk and ensure accountability.
o    Conduct regular compliance audits and address any issues promptly.

Culture
o    Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence.
o    Promote inclusion and diversity within the plant, ensuring all employees feel valued and respected.
o    Encourage open communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
 

Min. Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Industrial  Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field or at least 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or related field. This experience should include several years in supervisory or managerial positions to demonstrate the necessary leadership and operational skills.

•    Managerial Experience: At least five years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a plant or manufacturing environment.

•    Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate teams effectively.

•    Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.


•    Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop and execute strategic plans to improve plant performance.

•    Operational Knowledge: Deep understanding of plant operations, including production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.

•    Financial Acumen: Skills in budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.

•    Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of staff and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in particle size reduction and/or polymer extrusion plant (e.g., automotive, food processing, etc.).

•    Certifications (Optional but Beneficial)

•    Lean Six Sigma: Certification in Lean Six Sigma methodologies can be advantageous for process improvement and efficiency.

•    Project Management: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
