The Quality Specialist will support technical, operational, and analytical support to the Quality Control lab, production units, and business teams for driving improvements to the QC laboratory and assist with quality notification investigations. The Quality Specialist will support the sites ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 compliance, including conducting internal quality audits, and supporting customer and external audits. The Quality Specialist will support and/or lead quality maintenance and improvement initiatives. Additionally, they will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a customer-focused culture within the organization. The Quality Specialist will also be involved in supporting quality goals and targets in the site’s strategic plan. General knowledge of statistics is required coupled with good interpersonal skills and the ability to assimilate and analyze information. #LI-RH1 

A Day in the Life

• Accountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers, and for promoting a safe work environment. 
• The Quality Specialist aims to serve as the site's SME for all ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 items. 
• Lead efforts such as the quality incident process and conducting RACI audits. 
• Ensure full compliance with the sites ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications. 
• Lead/Conduct all internal audit functions and support all external audits.  
• Ensure compliance with ASTM, ISO, and / or customer mandated protocols, when applicable. 
• Assist with customer complaint resolution, prevention and effectiveness verification. 
• Support acquisition of customer and retain samples and assist with customer complaints. 
• Collect and submit samples for outside (contract or customer) testing. 
• Responsible for supporting testing lab performance. 
• Support in equipment verification and calibration programs are properly maintained. 
• Work with all campus operation departments as needed to manage and improve quality systems. 
• Ensure that the components of the Quality System are in place, maintained and effective. 
• Drive the nonconformance process including disposition of nonconforming materials. 
• All other duties not specifically assigned. 

You Bring This Value

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School/GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred  
• Experience in ISO and IATF Certification. 
• Five plus years’ experience in a quality related role 
• Excellent Computer Skills (SAP, Microsoft Office) 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt 
• Statistical training 
• Quality Tools Training (FMEA, PPAP, APQP) 
• IATF Compliance Training  
• Corrective Action Tools Training (SPC, Capability Studies, DOEs, Regression Analysis, Graphical Analysis, Gage R&R) 
• Measurement System Analysis
