The Operations Team Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our production processes. This position is responsible not only for overseeing daily production activities but also for training team members, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and promoting a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining high standards of product quality while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
A Day in the Life
- Promote safety as the highest priority by consistently communicating and enforcing safety policies.
- Lead daily safety talks, participate in safety audits, and support safety-related projects.
- Provide coverage for team members during lunches, breaks, absences, or other needs to maintain uninterrupted production flow.
- Deliver daily safety messages and engage with team members to reinforce safe work practices.
- Collaborate with the Scheduler and Supervisor to assign daily tasks.
- Manage timekeeping and production records accurately.
- Escalate safety, quality, production, or personnel concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Train new employees and assist in cross-training existing team members.
- Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
- Assist operators with equipment start-ups, changeovers, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure efficiency.
- Identify and support initiatives to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Actively participate in assigned Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
- Promote and support housekeeping efforts and 5S practices to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- NIGHT SHIFT - 7pm - 7.15am (2 days on, 2 days off, every other weekend)
You Bring This Value
- Minimum of 3 years of compounding experience.
- Proficient in at least two production operator skill areas.
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
- Intermediate computer proficiency. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and general data entry systems.
- Experience leading meetings and plan/organize work activities
- Experience coaching and developing operators/technicians
- **Must pass all pre employment screening - drug screen, physical fit test, employment verification and criminal background check
