Maintenance Supervisor

As a member of the LyondellBasell OEE Site Technical / Maintenance Team the Maintenance Supervisor’s role is to supervise maintenance technicians, and to execute work in a safe, reliable, cost-efficient, and environmentally responsible manner to achieve site and company goals. They will work alongside operations, and the engineering team to execute strategic plans, drive gap closure efforts, and ensure alignment of plant activities with global manufacturing goals. This position provides technical leadership, and managerial oversight to both LyondellBasell and contract maintenance personnel.

A Day in the Life

• Provide direct supervision and leadership to assigned personnel so as to ensure that maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently to high quality standards.
• Provide guidance and support for technicians to develop technical and leadership skills. 
• Collaborate with business unit counterparts to identify future maintenance requirements and continuously improve the effectiveness of maintenance services. 
• Responsible for the execution of routine and shutdown maintenance activities. 
• Continuously seek out and drive cost reduction projects and best practices related to maintenance functions and work management systems. 

You Bring This Value

• High school diploma is required. 
• Typically a minimum of 4+ years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing or equivalent environment or an Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline with five years of experience. 
• Millwright maintenance experience is preferred. 
• Some knowledge of PLCs is preferred 
• Strong supervisory and team motivation skills; 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to delegate and report on activities; 
• Proficient personal computer skills, application software skills, and experience with computerized maintenance management systems; SAP and Excel experience is preferred; 
• Knowledge of plant policies, specifications, and procedures; 
• Strong planning and organization skills; 
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends (day or night) with short notice.
