This role has the responsibility to coach, mentor, and supervise the maintenance team to ensure development and safe execution of maintenance plans. This position must perform at a strategic level with sound decision making while focusing on safety and site performance.  Directly responsible for the opera on of the Maintenance Department in organizing, planning, directing, and controlling department functions involving personnel, production, costs, environmental, engineering, and safety.

A Day in the Life:

  • Provides leadership and direction for the execution of Maintenance:
  • Ensures all work is performed to GoalZero expectations and in adherence with all procedures. Responsible for defining and achieving maintenance strategies/goalsDevelops and adheres to an annual Maintenance budget for the area
  • Develops/implements maintenance processes to improve overall efficiency through the Maintenance Opera onsite Workflow Process (MOWP)
  • Sets and maintains a clear message that Safe execution of all work is the number 1 priority. Ensures the Code of Conduct and all other Company policies are accurately, consistently and fairly administered.
  • Manage ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 management
  • Ensures compliance with all company, local, state, and federal agency requirements with special emphasis on personal and process safety and environmental compliance.
  • Manages performance and professional development of supervisory personnel to ensure they are effectively managing hourly personnel and have the right level of contractor oversight.
  • Works with the Training department to ensure craftsman acquire and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Responsible for budget expenditures in their area of responsibility, ensures maintenance accounting policy and cost consistency are maintained.
  • Ensures resources (people, tools, equipment, etc.) are utilized in the safest, most-efficient methods possible.
  • Enforces culture that will stop unsafe work, and correct unsafe work practices.
  • Works in conjunction with the Site Manager in the areas of labor relations and personnel administration
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned

  • Familiar all position-specific quality assurance responsibilities
  • Familiar with site wide Document Control, Internal Quality, Corrective Action, Non-Conforming Product, and Record Keeping procedures
  • Ensures that all subordinate employees are aware of and are adequately trained in quality procedures Education:      
  • Typically B.S. Engineering, Or the equivalent of 10+ years of maintenance management and reliability experience
  • Understands and helps implement the Edison Site Environmental Policy and Objectives
  • Is aware of potential environmental impacts within this position’s area of responsibility and the consequences if an upset occurs
  • Understands and implements any parts of the Edison Environmental Compliance Plan and Waste Management Plan and Pollution Prevention Process that applies to this position’s area of responsibility
