Basic Function
The Quality Analyst has an impacting role to play at the Edison, New Jersey (EDO) manufacturing site. The Quality Analyst uses strong background in manufacturing, lab, supply chain and/or quality to evaluate conformance to company quality standards and ISO and IATF requirements. They provide recommendations to facility and senior management regarding conformance and data-based recommendations for continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities
- On site position (EDO)
- Reports to the Quality Lab Manager
- Serves as primary contact for the Quality Management System for their area of responsibility
- Responsible for continuous improvement of ISO 9001:2015 and 14001 systems
- Lead troubleshooting efforts on lab instruments and coordinate with outside vendors
- Assists in the LyondellBasell process for customer complaints and quality-related feedback
- Develops, communicates, and manages Quality KPIs and implements improvement plans and conducts internal quality audits and provides written reports
- Conducts quality investigations, as required, and provides training on QMS processes
- Engages with business, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and other QMS functions to ensure Quality is integrated with internal processes
- Maintains, Develops, and Improves Quality awareness, culture, and competency in areas of responsibility
- Act as an independent Quality expert to both registrar and customer audits and assessments
- Drives system and performance enhancements to further identify and reduce quality risks Identifies and implements efficiency and effectiveness improvements to QMS processes
- Support lab testing and provide backup coverage if needed
Min. Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Experience with quality management systems preferred, ideally at least 5 years
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executive management
- Ability to lead through influence, and manage and direct an audit team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Business focus to ensure value adding activities are captured and implemented.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Business
- Fundamental knowledge of quality techniques, methods, and standards
- Auditor experience in relevant Quality Standards
- Practical experience in problem solving and investigation techniques
- Performing statistical analysis and data analytics
- Excellent verbal, written skills and presentation skills
- Strongly result oriented with demonstrated change management skills
- Ability to effectively work with stakeholder of different levels internal and external to the Company
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Previous polymer quality experience
