LYB

Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to manage regions of AFME business in the transportation segment (Engineering Plastics & PPC) reporting to the Regional Sales Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensures consistent and optimal execution of strategy across the region/customer base and price policies for the LYB and Schulman products and relevant market segments.
  • Develops and nurtures relationships with customers establishing solid relationships with them on commercial and technical level aiming for a preferred supplier position.
  • Introduces new products in conjunction with Marketing, CPMs and Technical Service. Identifies and acquires additional customers with significant volume potential for LYB.
  • Works closely with Business Finance and Support as to determine customer financial health and credit limit.
  • Supports CSR in order to improve forecast accuracy of customer demand including seasonal buying patterns, reduces small orders and increases average size of order.
  • Helps in closing claims, ensuring LYB’s complaint handling procedure is applied and followed; and recommends contract amendment. Co-ordinates the claim settlement with the regional Customer Service Representative and Technical Service.
  • Market intelligence collection and reporting

Min. Qualifications

Education:
•    University degree in Mechanical/Chemical/ polymer/ Engineering 

 

Work Experience: 
•     4-6 years Technical/sales experience in injection molding processes related to Automotive/E & E Industry or Engineering Plastics/PP compounding  
•    More than 2 years sales or business development management experience.

•    Demonstrates strong working knowledge of product and application technologies.
•    Willingness to travel.
•    Very good “matrix management skills”.
•    Understands marketing principles/value-in-use analysis.
•    Strong customer/interpersonal skills
