The Planning and Scheduling Supervisor will coordinate, direct and manage daily activities associated with the maintenance planning and scheduling group at the La Porte Complex. This position will ensure the safe, efficient and reliable execution of these activities to satisfy customer requirements, manufacturing performance measures, regulatory agency requirements and community obligations. The incumbent will provide positive leadership by being a role model, setting expectations and maintaining accountability around those expectations, and providing timely performance feedback through the effective use of dialog and coaching.

A Day in the Life

· Directly supervising the Planners and Schedulers, which results in safe, efficient and cost effective job plans and schedules.

· Coaching and mentoring direct reports to their fullest potential with frequent performance feedback and coaching.

· Establishing meaningful goals for the Planning and Scheduling Group that are consistent with company and plant priorities, which result in long-term, continuous improvement.

· Lead for Maintenance Digital efforts (Prometheus systems, scheduling, PM leveling, etc.)

· Managing the groups’ and MOWP (Maintenance Operations Work Process) performance utilizing KPI's to drive change and implementing recognized Planning and Scheduling and MOWP Best Practices.

· Engage subject matter experts such as engineers for problem resolution of technical issues and discovery or scope change requirements.

· Championing MOWP, provide performance analysis and recommend/drive closure plans to optimize MOWP and Maintenance efficiencies.

· Providing support to TA, major project, etc., as required. Responsibilities include process units as well as general facility maintenance.

· Coordinating pre-outage planning activities for all plant outages by working closely with Purchasing, Engineering, I&E Maintenance, Contractors and Operations for proper staffing and scheduling.

· Strong PC skills are necessary including detailed working knowledge of SAP.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as good judgement and discretion are required.

You Bring This Value

· High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in maintenance functions in petrochemical, refining, or similar industrial facility; or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in petrochemical, refining, or similar industrial facility

· Good working knowledge of maintenance work processes.

Preferred Qualifications

· Five years of Supervisor, Coordinator and/or Planner experience

· Strong analytical skills for making timely decisions with limited information

· Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills to focus the organization on achieving departmental goals

· Demonstrated ability in the coordination of resources and materials for routine planning and scheduling as well as plant turnaround activities, to achieve both production and organizational objectives.

· Demonstrated ability on understanding and improving maintenance KPIs

· Strong computer skills with working experience in SAP, Prometheus, BI tool and/or Primavera P6

· Demonstrated leadership fundamentals, sound knowledge of company and plant procedures/standards.

· Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities in a high paced environment with the ability to make timely/quality decisions while maintaining "customer" focus.

· Demonstrated experience in cost forecasting and budget preparation/management.

· Ability to communicate both clearly and concisely both orally in writing with direct reports and internal/external clients.
