China Logistics Manager

Basic Function

Responsible in leading and manage Logistics activities (Logistic/Warehouse, material movement within/outside China) by analyzing, reviewing, optimizing and improving material flow from receiving till shipping toward different destinations in order to ensure delivery commitments and fulfill customer’s demands/orders.

Develop and source for new or alternative logistics vendors to achieve cost effectiveness.

Roles & Responsibilities
  1.             Participate in projects. Bring in experience, to set up the logistics operation flow, address issues and challenge current practices
  2.             Review performance of logistics provider on a regular basis together with internal business partner.  Define the checklist to performance the appraisal
  3.             Lead bidding or tender process to select the bidders and manage the process to comply with procedure and guideline for service procurement
  4.             Manage emergency of operational problems with business partners in the event of issues
  5.             Conduct periodic review the performance of  logistics service provider to ensure the contract is running as planned and provider is performing complying with LYB requirement
  6.             Management reporting
  7.             Participate in Internal and external audits
  8.             Provide training, guidance, and functional expertise as needed to assist and train colleagues  in the team
Min. Qualifications

Education:

Degree-holder, preferably with a post-degree Master in supply chain management area or equivalent  

Work Experience:

  1. More than 5 years relevant work experience in the supply chain management and logistics procurement  in China, procurement & supply chain of foreign company work experience is preferred

Other Skills:

  1. Strong logistics procurement knowledge in China including defining the appropriate logistics service providers.
  2. Project management to get things done with many independent stakeholders
  3. Good command of MS Office (excel),  experience of SAP

 

Languages:

  1. English and Chinese, fluent
