China IT Lead 

Basic Function

The China IT Lead will be the IT liaison to the business; responsible for end-to-end IT services within country.  This multi-disciplinary role requires both an in-depth understanding of the processes at the regional sites and a general understanding of the global Commercial, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, S&OP and corporate solutions with regards to internal LYB as well as Joint Ventures (JVs). The role will be required to build strong relationships and deliver valued services and solutions while balancing speed of delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.  Further, the role will understand the local demands and issues through co-location with business leaders; requiring broad technical, business analyst, and project management skills.  The role will be enabled and empowered to act quickly to solve problems and deliver value to the company.

Roles

Primary objective of the China IT Lead is to lead the implementation of the IT solutions and establish relationships with the JVs and businesses in China. This role will be a key advisor to local and global stakeholders, influencing their perceptions, preferences and direction; advising on IT solutions to bring “speed to value” to the business.

Responsibilities

 

  • Accountable for the success of the overall IT services and delivered value for China
  • Accountable for stakeholder satisfaction at the local sites and applicable global solutions
  • Accountable for the performance of the local site’s technology stack
  • Accountable for the collaborative relationship between country IT and central IT
  • Consult role for the local site to central IT for any global solutions at the site
Job Specification / Qualification

 

Must have experience and understanding in the following areas:

•             15 years of technical, business or management experience in increasingly responsible positions

•             5+ years experience in IT roles inside the chemicals / petrochemical manufacturing industry

•             Experience with KingDee and/or SAP

•             3+ years experience in digital / software projects using Agile / Lean techniques and methodologies

•             Experience providing troubleshooting and technical assistance for hardware and software

•             Experience applying business analysis techniques in projects

•             Academic background computer science, engineering, math, and statistics all highly regarded

•             Delivers with a tenacious, resilient, resourceful and collaborative approach

•             Engages with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and disciplines

•             Project management experience is a plus
