Basic Function

The Mechanical Reliability Team Lead role exists to lead and mentor a team of Engineers and Specialists to provide technical expertise for all mechanical aspects (fixed and rotating equipment) for support of Operations, Maintenance, HSE and Capital Projects to achieve the CVO site strategy and Business objectives.  The Team Lead completes assignments as directed by their Supervisor which support site, department and team goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

•Set day-to-day priorities for assigned team members
•Ensure team members, other employees and contractors comply with site safety policies and procedures to achieve GoalZERO
•Manage team member resources to participate in OE / PSM activities (PHAs, MOCs, etc.), Engineering, Turnaround, etc. as necessary
•Manage timely completion of team member assigned action items and/or defined data submissions; participate in review and extension meetings
•Ensure site performance metrics are met through active management of team members workload and performance
•Actively support the Maintenance Operations Workflow Process (MOWP) which is a key site work processes
•Work closely with other Departments to ensure all work activities are implemented in an efficient and cost effective manner
•Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support to assigned team
•Recommend actions to maintain optimum performance focusing on defect elimination
•Direct team involvement in identification of improvement opportunities then manage the work scope and support implementation
•Partner with Manufacturing and/or Business contacts to develop and implement plans to maximize revenues then adjust plans as conditions warrant
•Mentor and coach team members based on observations and feedback
•Facilitate team member development of and completion of Performance Appraisal Document (PAD) and Individual Development Plan (IDP)
•Participate in STI and Merit increase determinations for team members
•Be custodian of up-to-date documentation in assigned area
 

Min. Qualifications

•BSME required.
•Minimum of 7 years of fixed equipment engineering experience in an operating environment.
•Experience in the preparation for and execution of large scale TA’s (>$100MM).
•Demonstrated expertise in PSM activities which could include PHA, MOC, PSV calculations, Safety Critical Equipment/Variables, Incident Investigations, Alarm Management, etc.
