Maintenance Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION:

Leads Maintenance activities of manufacturing equipment and facility. The position requires to have a have strong sense in HSE and comply with site HSE procedures and standards. Continuously involve in enhancing the technological efficiency of the equipment and facility.

Electrical Safety and continual improvement, Modification in Machine, Spare Management, Involvement in Project, Adoption of New Technology, Knowledge Sharing and Communication, Reduce Breakdown time.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out according to the company’s HSE policy and procedures and within Indian legislation
2. Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out at maximum efficiency, promote improvement in work practices led to better HSE performance, quality and achieved the maintenance KPI’s
3. Develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance Plan and Predictive Maintenance plan for related equipment
4. Maintain records and documentation for equipment, spare parts and performance records necessary to keep the plant performance at a high level
5. Provide constructive idea and solution to the related equipment with its hidden design flaws, influence of the production efficiency and HSE issues.
6. Provide technical support to solve the Equipment Emergency fault and organize the technicians to analysis and find out the root cause of the failure. 
7. Ensure that relevant equipment inspections / calibrations required by the company’s quality, safety and environmental procedures and Indian legislations are completed on time.
8. New project and equipment introduced follow-ups closely and make the mechanical acceptance go smoothly and effectively. 
9. Maintenance Cost manage and follow-up under budget. Continuously improve production process and facilities to meet EHS requirement, enhance productivity and reduce production cost.
10. OE and GAIS procedure and standard are maintained in a high level
11. Train the staff  in routine maintenance and production tasks
12. Maintain documentation to comply with the  ISO-9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016,EMS 14001, certification process and also manage the certification audits

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Education:

High school graduation, technical secondary school or above, in electrical Engineering, Experience of 10 Years with Degree or 15 years with Diploma.

Work Experience:

1. 15 years in Maintenance department from multi-national Chemical / Engineering company
2. Have strong HSE sense & housekeeping awareness.
3. Be familiar with PLC and DRIVE operation. Be familiar with mechanical automation, electrical diagram, UPS and LED touch panel maintenance and operation.
4. Strong team work spirit.
5. Hands on Experience on AC drives Siemens PLC and Automation.
6. Good knowledge of Utilities and Lab Equipment’s.
7. Hands on Experience on Maintenance of Electrical part for Extruder machinery and feeders, pelletizing system, conveying system, accessories.
8. Hands on experience on Electrical Project Installations.
9. Knowledge of DG set operations and Installations with Tamil Nadu Govt. rules & Regulations.
10. Knowledge for Compliance to Electrical Inspector and required regulations with TNEB Board.
11. Knowledge for Compliance to Inspector and required regulations with TNPCB Board.
12. Be familiar with management process of equipment and accessories, be able to analysis root cause of problem and fix basic/regular problems independently.
13. Be familiar with all Utility equipment’s like Transformer, MV Panel, VCB, ACB, DG, Compressor, Cooling tower, STP, ETP, RO plant system, DE/FE/CVS system and firefighting system

Licenses & Certifications:

1. Certificate from Industrial Training Institute for Trade Fitter and Electrician
2. Certification on special equipment after safety trainings by government

4. Integrity and Trust: He or she can develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance and predictive Plan for related equipment.  Establish/update standard preventive maintenance system (e.g. SOP, instruction and PM). And give other staffs training.
5. Physical and Mental Health:  He should be Physically and Mentally fit to perform his job responsibilities.
6. Color Blindness: He should not have color blindness.
7. Height Phobia: He should not have Height Phobia.

 Solid knowledge of electrical theory, love for electrical work, and able to handle the electrical work independently, receiving ability, can get along with colleagues, able to handle electrical emergencies.

Skills:

1. Work hard, self- motivated, patience, good team work and willing to work under pressure.
2. Be responsible, active, and could work under pressure
3. Good command of MS office. Be skilled in PC operation and SAP

Languages:

1. Read and understand the Equipment manual in English.
2. With basic English in reading and listening.
