Analytical Lab Technician

Function :

As Analytical Lab Technician you efficiently and effectively perform chemical and physical analysis of samples according to business strategy, set KPIs & needs.

Roles and responsibilities :

• Efficient and effective analysis of samples related to requests from TS (customer requests or competition analysis), PAD (new product development or raw materials), Manufacturing (related to production issues), QC, mainly within MBS EU. These are carried out according to the priorities set by the Analytical Lab Manager and in alignment with OE procedures, quality and safety standards;
• Management of assigned equipment within your area of responsibility. This involves: calibration or verification of the equipment according to the set frequency, follow up stock of consumables, organization and follow up of repair and/or preventive maintenance in agreement with the Analytical Lab Manager;
• Lead projects such as the installation of new equipment, HSE improvements or basic raw material sourcing projects with support of a PAD Engineer or the Analytical Lab Manager;
• Expand knowledge by following up on new developments in the field of additives, resins and analytical methods by attending the internal team meetings, reading literature, attending webinars and internal and external trainings;
• Pro-actively formulate proposals for improvement in the field of HSE, analytical methods and team spirit to the Analytical Lab Manager.

Profile :

• Masterdiploma Chemie;
• Good knowledge of organic chemistry, a basic knowledge of polymers and analytical tools is considered an advantage;
• Knowledge on spectroscopic techniques
• Good work ethics, able to work independently and proactively;
• Team player with a constructive and practical mindset, able to easily combine multiple tasks;
• Excellent analytical skills with high level of accuracy;
• Example in terms of integrity, involvement, motivation and drive;
• Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English.
