In June 2025, LYB announced entering into an agreement and exclusive negotiations for the sale of four olefins & polyolefins sites and the associated business in Europe. The sites to be sold are located in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Carrington (UK), and Tarragona (Spain). The sites together represent a scaled olefins and polyolefins platform strategically located in proximity to a longstanding customer base and with access and connectivity to key infrastructure.
Closing of the proposed transaction is currently expected in the first half of 2026. From the start, the new company will be a scaled leader in European Olefins & Polyolefins. Powered by strategically located assets, a diverse product portfolio, and operational excellence, it aims to transform the business, fostering an agile, entrepreneurial culture where fast decision-making and hands-on collaboration drive transformation and growth.

You will be crucial to a successful transition and, when the sale is closed, success of the new company. You will become part of a new dynamic organization with around 1,800 employees, headquarters in Rotterdam and production sites in France, Germany, UK and Spain with a strong focus on customer excellence.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for executing the procurement strategies as defined by a Procurement manager on a site, regional or country basis. Includes the planning of purchasing and scheduling of materials, services, and supplies if applicable, but normally does not include sourcing. Can include the tender and request for quotation for final negotiations with vendors for creating Spot Purchase orders and Outline agreements including management of change of suppliers.
- Ensures accurate definition of requirements, may negotiate local contracts, establishes and maintains an effective procurement system consistent with LyondellBasell (“the Enterprise”) control guidelines (same as E1 with increased responsibility).
- Establishes and utilizes a site support network (incl. travel to assigned sites and attending site/planner meetings) for timely acquisition of site managed materials and services incl. to suppliers while achieving maximum overall cost effectiveness. (increased responsibility compared to E1) within a country or regional basis and including cost savings objectives.
- Acts as a direct procurement contact incl. for urgent orders for internal clients located at various sites up to agreed spend level. Increased responsibility for several sites
- Supports sourcing plans for low and midsize value projects following the agreed forms, thresholds, processes and sourcing strategy methodology, implying necessary project management.
- Maintain and Contract ownership of low and midsize value Outline Agreements, e-Catalogues and spot PO´s as well as executes all other transactional tasks. Increased responsibility for several sites
Education and Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or recognized equivalent).
- 2+ years related experience required with degree: 6+years' experience in lieu of degree.
- 1-2 years of chemical /engineering or related industry experience is desirable.
Skills
- Knowledge of negotiation, presentation and analytical skills
- Knowledge in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP MM
- French native speaker
- Spanish and English business fluent
