About Tivaco

The plant is a former family enterprise, small scale, driven by 25 employees with a clear down-to-earth mindset as part of the family organizational culture and is specialized in the treatment of production scraps and purified post-consumer waste in polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), flexible PVC and elastomers (TPE) such as SBS, SEBS, EVA, TPU, etc.
The waste streams we treat, originate from the petrochemical and plastic converting industry. After processing, our granules are used in various applications, such as automotive, construction, agriculture, household items, etc.

This is the role

As a Quality Control Officer, you evaluate and assess the quality of our products based on their specifications and properties, identify deviations from standards and implement corrective actions to maintain or improve quality levels. Your role includes carrying out checks, lab tests and analyses to verify quality requirements and customer expectations.
HSE is also a part of this function. You are responsible for the practical, executive part of our HSE policy.
 
Quality responsibilities: 

  • You are responsible for monitoring and guaranteeing the quality of our production output: you carry out analyses, tests and checks on incoming and outgoing products;
  • To ensure consistency, reliability and adherence to quality standards, you implement quality control processes, procedures and guidelines. You maintain the necessary documentation (systems) and information systems regarding the quality of products;
  • Working closely with our production teams and suppliers you address quality issues. You also share your knowledge by training and educating production operators in the area of quality control;
  • With the purpose to promote customer satisfaction, you take care of Customer Complaints Handling and contribute to Product Development;
  • You provide support in the preparation and implementation of audits, management reviews and quality plans. This includes coordinating with external auditors, customers and regulatory authorities during quality audits, inspections or certifications, and providing documentation and support as required. In relation hereto you monitor progress regarding compliance with applicable standards, such as End of Waste, EuCertPlast (soon ISO 9001).

HSE responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the practical, executive part of our HSE governance such as issuing work permits, keeping track of incident reports, carrying out job observations, risk analyses, etc.

Your strong analytical skills solve complex problems, while meticulous attention to detail ensures high-quality outcomes. Proficient in statistic analysis, you optimize product quality. A results-oriented mindset drives efficient goal achievement, and you excel in quality control. Lastly, you provide your colleagues with valuable advice and guidance.

This is what you bring

  • Bachelor level obtained through training and/or experience in (polymer) chemistry;
  • Experience with lab tests;
  • Knowledge of quality systems and quality behavior;
  • Experience with quality assurance in a production environment; 
  • HSE experience or training in HSE is desirable, but not necessary. We ensure that you receive the appropriate training and support.
  • Languages: French in combination with either Dutch or English.
