Accounting Supervisor

Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to execute G/L accounting, closely monitor cash flow, month-end closing process and assist FM in managing daily accounting activities for two legal entities in Shanghai. In this role, you will have primary responsibility for bookkeeping, including expenses check and accruals, cost reconciliation, inventory adjustment entry, FX manual adjustment etc. You will play the role of coordinator between LBPS and JV partner.

Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for General Ledger accounting to ensure the compliance with company and local policy
  2. Lead the team to perform cost conciliation with JV on a weekly basis
  3. Prepare monthly statutory reports and other required group reports accurately and timely
  4. Closely monitor cash flow and work with treasury, tax and other corporate functions to support local bank, tax issues and provide data for analysis
  5. Perform and review monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations per SOX requirement
  6. Ability to recognize unusual transactions, trends or variances, and communicate findings to Sr. finance manager  
  7. Assist internal/external audits relating to GL and other SOX requirements, and support annual tax filings
  8. Provide continuous support in setting up controls on finance operating procedures
  9. Assist Sr Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

 

Work Experience:

  • At least 8-10 years’ relevant experience in finance and accounting area
  • Working experience in trading company with a multinational company environment and under diverse cultures
  • Experience in share-service center and excellent in SAP system
  • Experience in handling JV business with the sense of cost reconciliation is a plus

 

Licenses & Certifications:

  • professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant / Charted Accountant is preferred

  • Very familiar with SAP system and skillful in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiar with key accounting principle under US and IFRS GAAP
