Basic Function

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the position of Account Manager includes complete responsibilities for generating organic sales growth while maintaining existing customers. This position will drive the profitable revenue growth by selling all products offered by the Advance Polymer Solutions division within the Advanced Polymer Solutions Business Unit of LyondellBasell with specific focus on the masterbatch portfolio for flexible and rigid packaging applications. In this role, the Account Manager will support and provide comprehensive solutions to our customers and represent the organization professionally. 
The selected individual will operate from Istanbul office or Tekirdag Cerkezkoy site and support a territory of customers located in Turkiye.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets and other performance objectives
  • Manage the prioritization work flow from customers for customer service, technical requests, color matches, development projects, customer complaints and related tasks.
  • Self-manage both human and equipment resources to continually provide profitable customer service.
  • Provide solution selling methodology and communicate the value proposition of the company and offering.
  • Provide market intel by being the eyes and ears of the Company and provide information to help in value pricing and selling.
  • Prospect, identify and develop customers and sale opportunities as defined to meet the goals of the Business unit.
  • Laterally manage with other departments to maximize utilization of resources to provide solutions to the customer.
  • Cross sell at every opportunity or encourage access for other representatives to cross sell.
  • Provide cost savings through information gathering and properly utilizing company resources.
  • Accurate and timely submission of required reports including the sales funnel, sales forecast, and visit reports.
  • Maintain customer (company and contact) information via the Salesforce Software.
  • Communicate closely with internal support functions (i.e., technical, customer service, credit, marketing, etc.).

Min. Qualifications

Area of Expertise, Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in  Chemical Engineering is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have prior sales or technical experience in chemical or plastics manufacturing. Experience in masterbatch and/or packaging applications is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 60%.
Good negotiation skill.
Good math, reading, and writing skills.
Good business sense and an understanding of manufacturing operations.


Education
Bachelor of Science degree in  Chemical Engineering is strongly preferred.

Work Experience 

  • Minimum of 10 years’  masterbatch sales experience in multinational chemical or plastic company 
  • Languages  Fluent in English
