BASIC FUNCTION
Develops and enforces company HSEQ standards, policies and procedures. As certified Occupational Safety Expert of the factory, ensures the factory operates in compliance with local and corporate legal requirements and trains all personnel accordingly. Implementing and managing QA and QC processes locally in close cooperation with global company functions, Local Responsible for LYB GoalZero program.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develops and enforces company HSEQ standards, policies and procedures by training the all personnel according to local and corporate law requirements.
• Implementing and managing QA and QC processes locally in close cooperation with local and global company functions
• Ensuring that Plant is working in compliance with local HSE regulations.
• To work as a (min B Class) certified occupational safety expert of the factory and be responsible for compliance with related legal requirements.
• Manage and supervise QC Laboratory and its staff.
• Develop/ test and evaluate products/raw materials according to the LYB guidelines by carrying out identified processes to ensure that the aims of the department objectives are achieved.
• Responsible for testing along with QC technicians and his/her technical training, especially on complex cases, and reporting to superior to make sure that superior is updated on the status and results of the testing always.
• Ensure that the necessary laboratory equipments are available to ensure an effective work environment.
• Knowledge and use of necessary safety equipment as described and to take into consideration general safety, this includes being able to understand the content and the meaning of safety data sheets.
• Follow up all the customer complaints by investigating, evaluating and justifying the status to provide the best service to the customer.
• Follow up, prepare and contribute the regular product certification audits along with Production dpt. Supervisor.
• Collaboration – from ministry inspectors to safety leaders of LYB, HSEQ Manager must work with other professionals to create a safe environment for workers.
• Eye for detail – HSEQ Manager must be able to spot potential hazards, identify safety concerns, and recognize practices that could harm the environment by conducting min. 1 hour/every workday site tours.
• Analytical thinking – analyzing regulations, compliance guidelines, safety practices, audit reports, and other documentation is a must for HSEQ Manager.
• Problem-solving skills – HSEQ Manager review safety issues and possible environmental impacts and offer real solutions to prevent accidents and injuries and address environmental concern.
• Communication skills – producing clear and concise reports, leading training classes, and coordinate our site communication with ministry authorities such as inspectors and auditors calls for strong verbal and written communication skills. Attendance of daily Production meetings to share HSEQ updates.
• Implementing and ensuring that Quality Assurance System is in place and completing the necessary requirements and activities related with ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 systems and tracking related activities.
• Increase awareness about HSEQ among all the LYB associates, conducting activities and training to support HSEQ become a corporate culture,
• Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.
• Reviewing the posted safety information throughout the own work field to be up to date and accurate to what is new in rules and regulations.

• Checking MSDS of chemicals which will be used within plant.
• Lead/get advice for incident investigation, on near misses and incidents.
• Identify training needs (e.g. introduction for new employees, subcontractors) and support development of operators and supervisors to adopt HSEQ culture.
• Participate in the coordination, cooperation and information exchange with subcontractors/external service
• Schedule and coordinate fire and/or emergency drills and report the results accordingly and take necessary actions and schedule trainings to improve factory team performance during the emergency situations.
• The HSEQ Manager shall perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the management or employer, in line with the requirements of the position.
• Effectively manages and coordinates external consultants to ensure alignment with organizational HSEQ standards and objectives

Education
Bachelor Degree preferably environmental engineering or chemist/chemical engineering degree.
Work Experience
Minimum 5+ years of quality and HSE+QA+QC experience in production company preferably in plastic or chemical industry.
Languages
Fluency in English and Turkish is preferred.
