The One Finance Rotation Trainee Program within LyondellBasell is a highly competitive program that provides students with hands-on work experience by rotating into an array of teams within the Finance organization.


The Finance Leadership Development Program is a dynamic and challenging two year program comprised of four, six month rotations spread across the finance organization. You will rotate throughout numerous departments and business segments, with the goal of the program being to gain a breadth of experiences over the two years. The program provides you with the skills and tools needed to be successful by offering abundant resources to continue learning from demonstrated experts and develop into future financial leaders. 

Roles & Responsibilities

LYB’s Rotational Program offers carefully selected positions across a wide range of finance and strategy teams. The positions provide exposure to the core finance functions that you would traditionally find at the corporate level of any company. The opportunity to get real-time finance and business experience is unparalleled and provides a solid foundation for a successful finance career. 

Rotations will include 4 of the following functions:

  • Chief Accounting Office
  • Treasury Operations
  • Internal Audit
  • Business Finance
  • Data Analytics & Automation
  • Enterprise Risk Management

This is who you are

A traineeship day at the LYB regional headquarters in the city center of Rotterdam will be part of the selection process. During this eventful day the final selection of trainees will take place, based on our five competencies:

  • Grow capabilities
  • Promote inclusion 

This is what you bring

MSc degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Financial Management or similar;
Maximum of two years working experience;
Perfect command of the English language.
