Basic Function

 

 

The IT Senior Product Analyst is a key position in the discovery and delivery business solutions leveraging information technology. In this position, you are responsible for operations, projects, and innovation for our global Finance function, focusing on Tax and associated functions and processes. Our technology portfolio includes many applications deployed on platforms like SAP, Azure, SharePoint, OneStream, OneSource and others. You will report to the IT Product Team Manager and interact regularly with business stakeholders, development teams, solution architects, project managers and suppliers to ensure that business needs are met through proper systems operations and improvements in a secure manner. 


In this role, you have a deep understanding of business operations and are capable of articulating solutions in business language, and not just in technical terms. You are capable of envisioning and articulating value from technology innovation and solutions. You have a thorough understanding of processes in Finance and interfacing functions. The position requires significant interaction with leaders in the company, strategic and business aptitude, analytical skills, and ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and facilitate decisions.
 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • You are a trusted partner of business enabling business success by leveraging technology.
  • Build and maintain relationship with stakeholders in business, IT and external partners like suppliers. 
  • Identify innovation opportunities and collaborate with internal and external partners to mature ideas into future projects. 
  • Perform detailed process design with a specific function or cross-functional teams; collaborate with Global Process Owners. 
  • Support preparation of business case with its various elements like business and IT value, solution, cost estimate, impacts and risks.
  • Understand available enterprise capabilities and services and create solution to deliver target business value.
  • Gather business requirements by leading or participating in system blueprint sessions.
  • Design solution that addresses business needs and are aligned with IT strategy and enterprise architecture.
  • Write and/or review functional design and configuration design documents. 
  • Perform and support testing activities; facilitate user acceptance testing, deliver solution training.  
  • Play a leadership role in delivering projects and enhancements, and in managing operational matters that need product team involvement. 
  • Liaise with IT groups like PMO, enterprise architecture, development and platform teams and others for end-to-end SecDevOps activities for the entire portfolio of applications. 
  • Provide level 3 support for operations of solutions and applications, in close collaboration with help desk and application support teams who provide level 1 and level 2 support respectively. Improve operations through problem management. 
  • Perform application portfolio managements activities like contract renewals, upgrades, mitigate cyber security risks, address opportunities for cloud adoption. 

Min. Qualifications

 

  • Strong SAP FiCo skills focusing on, but not restricted to, Tax (master data, tax determination, compliance and reporting, FiCo integration with SD, MM).
  • Hands-on experience in implementing and/or operating SAP S/4. 
  • Hands-on experience in Tax applications Vertex and Thomson Reuters OneSource and integration to SAP. 
  • Experience with cloud solutions, and migration from on-prem to cloud. 
  • Expertise in integration technologies like API, Idocs, xml, web services.
  • Project management or Six Sigma skills to facilitate excellence in projects and operations. 
  • Experience in delivering projects following waterfall and agile methods. 
  • Experience in the petrochemical or large-scale manufacturing and strong business acumen.  
  • Value-oriented, understands technology is a tool with overriding goal of business success.
  • Communicate and defend IT policies and standards and understand how IT services benefit the business.

 

Education & requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related discipline required. 
  • 10+ years’ experience implementing SAP solutions for Finance in a functional role. Configuration and functional development experience a must. 
  •  7+ years’ experience in Tax applications like Vertex and Thomson Reuters OneSource 
  • 10+ years of solution delivery experience with increasing levels of leadership responsibility in systems analysis, defining technical requirements, performing design for complex solutions, and operating them. 
  • 10+ years’ experience in business facing roles with accountability for delivering projects, operations, and innovation. 
  • Deep experience with Finance core processes like Accounting, Budget, Close, Direct and Indirect Tax, Treasury and Payments is required. 
  • Experience in gathering and solutioning for non-functional requirements. 
  • Experience of delivering Data & Analytics solutions using SAP BI, Microsoft Power BI, Azure etc. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Power apps, Azure, Alteryx, RPA is preferred. 
  • Experience in service management; ITIL certification is a plus.  
  • Languages - English, additional language preferred.
