Business Development Manager Flame Retardants (m/f/d)

 

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • Ensure, promote and implement highest safety policies and standards
  • Ensure and promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices across the organization
  • Identify, support and close new business opportunities at designated and/or new customers utilizing existing and innovative APS material solutions across all business units (cross selling)
  • Cooperation with Product/Application Development to find innovative material solutions
  • Conduct customer needs assessments to fully understand best-fit material solutions for short and long-term growth; communicate those needs internally and collaborate with key functions such as Sales, Technical Service, Product/Application Development, Marketing, Technology and Asset Management to ensure alignment on growth and market strategies
  • Identify key innovation opportunities at the top Tiers , OEM(s) and Brand Owners based on a deep technical understanding of several polymers and applications and customer performance/economic requirements
  • Facilitates project implementation of OEM and Brand Owners strategies at Tier-1/Tier-2 level with Sales, Technical Service and Application Development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at focused customers in all functional areas, including Design, Engineering, Project Management, Materials Engineering, Purchasing, R&D, etc.
  • Develop balanced product group market share (coverage) and actively manages product portfolio and helping to find right pricing in cooperation with Marketing
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Sales, Technical Service, Application Development and Marketing teams to give line of sight to where/how our products are, or will be, moving through the value chain
  • Control meaningful use of the yearly innovation budget
  • Requirement to take charge of projects, innovation-days and customer visits.
  • Knowledge of 5G/6G applications is of advantage
  • A travel activity of more than 60% is required

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors/ Masters degree or equivalent technical degree
  • Multiple years of experience in diverse range of technical, business and commercial roles (e.g. automotive project management, injection moulding of PP-Compounds or Engineered Plastics), experiences in electrical connectors of advantage
  • Solid IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Office Word/Excel, SAP R/3, salesforce)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working in a cross-functional level
  • Fluent in English in combination with at least one local language in the applicable region
  • Driving license (class B)
